I recently finished my undergraduate degree in Environmental Studies at Trent University in Peterborough, Ontario and have elected to forego entering the real world and instead jump on my bike in September for ten months as I explore the wonderful roads of Canada and the USA.
I'm originally from the frigid flatlands of Winnipeg but found myself drawn to the Centre of the Universe in 2006. I love ultimate frisbee, cinnamon buns, beer and funny t-shirts.
I also co-author an environmentally focused blog, Enviro Boys, with my friend Tim. It's good. You should read it; if you're into that stuff. If you don't like it, that's cool. There's plenty of better things we could all be doing with our time. Like watching paint dry.

I, at one time, was in some sort of institution called a "university." However, two and half years of analyzing the run times of search algorithms got a little tiresome, and I decided to take a break from furthering my education for a little while. Since then, I've worked a few jobs, traveled a bit and currently work as an educational assistant in a middle school. In other words, I try to convince mouthy little kids who don't want to work to want to do work. The definition of fun if there was one.
Like Chris, I too am from Winnipeg, but unlike him, I currently still live there. It's summer now, meaning that it's actually not freezing and that I also don't have to deal with grade seven and eight students for five hours a day. In this time off, I am attempting to pursue my passion of playing music to a greater degree and eventually hope to actually make some money doing it. Wouldn't that be cool? Yeah, I know.
Why am I writing a blog? Well, the only real reason is because I like writing. My mom's an English teacher. I love English. I love words. I like thinking, and the idea of someone actually reading my various meanderings of mind is a fun one. So that's the extent of it. Hopefully I'll end up spewing out something that someone other than me will find interesting. Wish me luck.
